The connection between Apostle David Keane and the former Caribbean Christ for the Nations Institute began long before CCFNI was started in January 1987. It actually started in June 1981 when a team from Christ For the Nations Institute was hosted by Apostle David Keane on a short term summer outreach to Jamaica. A part of the team stayed in Kingston found their way by God’s providence to my small village of Yallahs, St. Thomas. God worked a mighty miracle in my life that summer and we heard of great miracles in Kingston also. In 1986 when Randy Delp lead another short term mission team from CFNI t Jamaica, I hosted them in Yallahs they made a trip to Church on the Rock to minister. My wife Betty was a part of that outreach team. Apostle Keane was one of the few Pastor who knew about CFNI, understand its unique approach and enthusiastically supported us and sent his aspiring leaders and students to CCFNI. Many CCFNI students and staff were also involved in the starting of Family Church in the Rock in Montego Bay. So in many ways, all CCFN alumni and those who have been blessed by CCFN’s mission are part of the legacy of Apostle David Keane, and we should let his family know…. Betty and I are blessed to have known him and to have personally benefited from their ministry and example of faith. My mother, Pastor Patricia Waite, has prayed for him everyday since he fell ill, including many times during our prayer meetings here in Florida. We send love on her behalf also.
